What is Take Part?

Take Part is about information and learning to encourage people to 'take part' as active citizens.

 


 

What is an active citizen?

Being an 'active citizen' covers anything from involvement in your local community, to campaigning for better services as a local resident or as a 'service user', to taking part in consultations with public services. It could also be - but doesn't have to be - through 'civic' roles such as being a trustee or governance board member, magistrate, or standing as local councillor.

 


 

Who is the Black Country Take Part Pathfinder for?

The Black Country Take Part Pathfinder is for anyone who feels they want to make a difference in their community, or address a particular issue or get a better service from an authority but who, at the moment, isn't sure what they can do and whether it's for them. 

 


 

Where did the Black Country Take Part Pathfinder come from?

The Black Country Take Part Pathfinder is built on over 10 years of work which began in Wolverhampton.
